There is one untapped area of internet marketing. It’s an area that has an astronomically high demand, even if majority of the prospects therein don’t realize it yet. It’s an area that can reward you with a windfall of profits, without you having to work your butt off to earn as much. It’s an area reserved for those who have established a name for themselves in this industry. It is an area that is reserved for those who have succeeded in their own way in the field of online business.
Do you want to know what it is?
It’s called coaching. Basically, it entails the guidance of a person who wants to succeed in internet marketing, and ensuring that such a person will indeed succeed… for a price of course.
Now, coaching is not just a matter of telling your student what you know. It’s a matter of showing your student what you know and taking him by the hand to make sure that he will master the tactics you will teach which will in turn secure for himself the success he is looking for.
This is easier said than done. Coaching involves quite a number of intricacies which you must familiarize yourself with if you want to become a good tutor. These are:
1. Listening Skills. A coach is one who can listen. Your student has certain expectations, and before these expectations can be met, they should first be realized. And you can only do this if you’re listen to him. Often, listening is not enough. You need to practice active listening, which is a more participatory variety. Ask questions of your own whenever appropriate. Don’t be a mere soundboard. Involve yourself with the discussion.
2. Clarity of Narration. You’ll need to deliver your lessons as clearly as possible. Your student will have to do all the work, of course, but for him to be able to carry out your instructions, you’d need to make sure that your instructions are as unambiguous as they can be.
3. Structuring Skills. You’d need to be able to present a concrete plan. This will serve as your guide, and the guide of your student. It may be in the form of a time frame. What do you want to achieve after a certain period of time? Where SHOULD you be in accordance with the general goals? How much should your student have earned by such time?
4. Inspiration. You’re supposed to lead the student, and a leader should inspire. There will be times when your student will want to give up. You should be there to motivate him to try harder and to remind him that success will eventually come.
5. Affirmation. Your student will try his best to succeed, according to the plan you will lay out. But to make him strive harder, you’d need to continue to motivate him. This can be achieved through validation. You should praise him whenever he does something praiseworthy. But such praises should not be delivered in a way that will make him rest on his laurels. Affirmation is an art form.
6. Mindset Manipulation. Your student will come with his own mindset. Sometimes, his though processes will be in conflict with the general plan you have in mind. You have to find ways to transform this to your advantage. You must find ways to make him work with you, and not against you.
7. Strategic Proficiency. Since all you will be doing is to show your student the right path to take, you’d need to have great knowledge about efficient and executable strategies. These strategies are what you will share after all. They’re your bread and butter.
Do you possess all of these? Then try coaching and discover for yourself how profitable this field can be.
